This Year's Behavior Pan

Take me to the movies behavior plan

How it works:
·         The students will earn tickets for the day based on their behavior.  As they accumulate tickets, they are able to redeem them in for different prizes with their teacher.
·         Each morning each student will be responsible for finding their clothespin (with teacher or parent help) on the ribbon strip and transferring it to our behavior board on the green square labeled “Ready to listen and learn”.  It will be a form of attendance for the day. J
·         The student’s clothespin may be moved up and down throughout the day to different squares on our chart based on their behavior.  Each class will have a set of classroom expectations to follow.  In the 4’s and 5’s preschool room the children will help develop these expectations.  Things that are typically included are using our listening ears, keeping our hands to ourselves, using kind words, using indoor voices, and using our walking feet.

·         The next morning the teacher will distribute tickets into each child’s pocket on their classroom chart based on where their clothespin ended the day before and clear the behavior board.  For example: If a student was extra helpful and followed classroom expectations they might jump to “You’re a Movie Star” and gain 2 tickets for their day.
The Rewards:
·         5 tickets- a piece of candy, pencil, eraser, tattoo, or other little toy
·         25 tickets-$1 prize bin
·         50 tickets- a special lunch delivered to school, they will eat with a teacher a separate table
·         100 tickets-a movie night at the end of the year with the teachers
o    We will group a few students together for the 50 ticket prize.  If a student earns 50 or 100 tickets, they may turn their tickets in, we will put their name on a list, and they can continue to earn for the next prize.

Take 5:
·         This is a time in.  The student will take time away from the group doing a different activity of the teacher’s choice.
Rewind

·         A note will be sent home regarding their behavior for the day.

Letter a week.

This year I'm going to make a point to at least post once a month what we're doing in our class. Blogging for me always sounds amazing at the beginning of the school year and as time goes on I start to forget about it. To start the year off we're working on zoo phonic sounds. We'll be learning about apples and talking about allie aligator. I have put together this worksheet for my 3 year olds to discover what makes the [a] sound.

Cat in the Hat toss. This kids loved this. The only down side was that they kept picking up the hat and put it on their head so I had to hot glue it again once the activity was done.

Back to School Theme

Today we made Crayon Necklaces out of colored foam, beads and ribbon. We're working on Name recognition so this was a great way to promote that.
